Fall Festival

The girls had fall festival at school. They got to wear their halloween costumes to school. They had a blast, they won at the cake walk and rign toss, got their faces painted and picked up a bag full of candy. I love that their daycare does this, it's so much fun to get involved as a parent.

Papa Jim and Grammie Meredi Visit

My parents came for a visit this month. We enjoyed a little shopping, took in a 4 year olds soccer game, watched some football and smoked a brisket. Mom was kind enough to make Macey's comforter cover while she was here. She did an amazing job and it looks great in Macey's room. We had a great time. Sometimes I wish they lived a little closer.

Self Portraits

Random self portrait pictures by Maddie and Macey.

Acorns

Maddie was learning about the letter A in school and all things that start with A. She was looking for something to take for show and tell and wanted to take Acorns because they started with A. Unfortunately we do not have acorns in our neighboorhood. So we had to go to the next best source, PAPA Jim. Papa Jim sent a special delivery box full of acorns via the mail so Mads could have them for show and tell. She still carries the box around and doesnt share much with her sister.

New Puppy

So the Bradens have gotten a new puppy. She is a 2 month old German Shepard mix. She was an early Christmas present to our family. Her name is Asia. She is doing a great job with her kennel training and since she came to live with us she has not made a mess in her kennel or in the house. We will pray this will be the case for many days to come. Duke doesnt think much of her. He is still content to wine at the door to go out just so he can come back in. The girls are in love and it is nice that they are able to have a dog that they can experience as a puppy and call their own.
