This weekend we noticed we had a lot of fire ant hills popping up in the back yard. With all the rain and the fall weather starting to set in it is no surprise to us that they are starting to form. However, what we found we were not ready for. We noticed a small hill next to the girls turtle sandbox and noticed some had gotten inside the sandbox. We decide it would be in our best interest to chuck the old sand and get new as fire ants are nothing to mess with. When we lifted the sandbox what we found left us with eyes wide open.....

On a small note, Curt and I each got a few bites when we lifed the sandbox and took it back by the fence, but that is nothing compared to what could have been if the situation went un-noticed!!

Yellow Ribbon almost 12 months later
It is hard to believe that almost 12 months ago my brother was deployed to Iraq. He will be leaving Iraq November 1st and it will be a great blessing to have him home. Even if home is Germany for him right now it is still a great feeling to know he will be out of the day to day stresses of war. Thank You Andrew for all that you have done in keeping this country safe. God Bless the Men and Women of the Armed Forces!
